The length in the second column is what the booking calendar reserves. The last column
is when this service typically wants seeing again, which is a fact about the service and not a
sales tactic.
For children. Prices are before sales tax; the length is what the calendar reserves.

A pedicure needs a chair as well as a person. There are three pedicure chairs and six technicians. A pedicure needs a chair as well as a person, so it can be unavailable at a time when a manicure is not.
What each of these actually is
Little manicure
$18 · 20 minutes
Under twelves. Nails cut and shaped, a gentle buff and one coat of regular polish. No gel, no acrylic, no drill and no cuticle cutting.

Little pedicure
$24 · 25 minutes
The same again in a pedicure chair, with a shallow warm soak and the jets off. Twenty-five minutes is about as long as it holds anybody's attention.

Regular polish and nothing else, under twelve
A child's nail plate is thinner than an adult's and their nails are still settling into shape. Gel and acrylic both involve preparation of the surface and a removal at the other end, and neither belongs on a nine-year-old. This is a refusal we make often and we make it politely.
Twenty minutes is the honest length
Twenty-five for a little pedicure, with a shallow warm soak and nothing switched on in the chair. That is about as long as it holds anybody's attention, and stretching it out is how a nice half hour turns into a bad one.
A grown-up stays in the room
Not in the next room, not outside on the telephone. There is a chair beside every table for exactly this.
The first one is a big deal
It usually is. We go slowly, we show them the file before it touches them, and if they change their mind halfway through we stop and there is nothing to pay.
Who does this
Marisol Vega, Thu-Ha Nguyen, Rina Ocampo, Danna Ruiz, Emil Duran and Yelena Boyko. You can ask for a person by name when you book, and the calendar will
only offer you times that person is actually working — including their lunch, which is not a slot.
Files and buffers are single use. Files, buffers and wooden sticks are single use and binned in front of you. Steel is washed and steam sterilised, and every pedicure gets a fresh liner.
There are nails we will not work on. There are nails we will not work on, and there is a page that lists them. Being told no at the beginning of an appointment is better than being told nothing and finding out in a fortnight.
Six tables · three pedicure chairs · a published price for everything
Book an appointment
Pick the service and any add-ons and the calendar adds up the minutes before it looks for a slot, so the times you are offered are times that actually fit what you asked for. A pedicure also needs one of the three chairs, and if none is free at four o'clock on a Saturday it will say so rather than book you in and hope.
