Six tables · 3 chairs · a back room

The room

One long room on the ground floor with the tables along the window wall and the chairs at the back. Everything in these pictures is a generated image, and there is a page that says so.

  • Extraction on every table
  • A corner table out of the traffic, bookable by asking
  • Step-free from the pavement

Why the tables are along the window

Because colour is chosen under the light you are going to wear it in, and daylight is the only honest light there is. The lamps on the tables are there for the work rather than for the choosing, and the swatch rack lives where the light is.

The extraction arms

Every table has one, and it runs whenever a file or a drill is moving. It is there for the six people who breathe this room for nine hours a day as much as for the person sitting opposite them, and it is the reason the shop does not smell like a nail salon.

The corner table

The sixth table is behind the shelving and out of the traffic. Some people find a nail salon a loud, exposed place to sit for ninety minutes, and that is a completely reasonable thing to find. Ask for the corner when you book and it is yours.

The back room

Tool washing, sterilising and drying happen behind the floor rather than on it. There is a page about exactly what happens back there, because it is the part of this trade that most deserves being written down and least often is.

Files and buffers are single use. Files, buffers and wooden sticks are single use and binned in front of you. Steel is washed and steam sterilised, and every pedicure gets a fresh liner.

Every finish here was painted on loose tips. Every finish in the lookbook was painted on loose tips rather than on a hand, so what you are choosing is the finish and not somebody's hands. Nothing on this website is a client.

Book an appointment

Pick the service and any add-ons and the calendar adds up the minutes before it looks for a slot, so the times you are offered are times that actually fit what you asked for. A pedicure also needs one of the three chairs, and if none is free at four o'clock on a Saturday it will say so rather than book you in and hope.
